The Safety Management Office is responsible for the whole of Dart Group’s* safety management system. This covers flight safety (including flight data monitoring) and the operational quality system for Jet2.com as well as the occupational health and safety for Jet2.com and Fowler Welch – Coolchain. A busy team, the nature of the task may see one of the team carrying out an investigation into a road traffic incident involving one of our 250 large goods vehicles while another carries out a safety audit of a line station in Spain. At the same time, a third member of the team might be analysing the data downloaded from the previous day’s flights to ensure the airlines high safety standards are being maintained while the fourth member of the team makes sure the documentation and records are kept up to date. Challenging and demanding, the role of the Safety Management office offers variety as well as responsibility for a crucial aspect of the Group’s whole operation.
