Proactive planning,
Safe and reliable”.

The Flight Operations Department exists to fulfil the Joint Aviation Authorities’ remit to provide “a safe operation with airworthy aircraft” - and to ensure, from the company’s standpoint, that the operation is also efficient and cost-effective. The Managing Director bears the ultimate responsibility to the regulators and to the shareholders for the safety and success of Jet2.com operations.

Flight Operations, under the leadership of the Flight Operations Director, deals with aircraft operational and technical matters, flight safety, training, aircrew recruitment, aircrew career development and welfare, and operational quality matters.

Operations, under the leadership of the Operations Director, are responsible for crewing, rostering, ground operations and all other support to the flying operation including transport and accommodation. Of course, there is a considerable degree of overlap and there are no lines of demarcation within the Department.

Route Services arranges transport and hotel accommodation for nearly 600 aircrew and cabin crew, working closely with other staff in our Operations Department.
