I joined Jet2.com 2 years ago as Station Manager for Murcia in order to set up the first self handling ramp operation within Jet2.com
This was highly challenging and a great experience, involving recruiting local staff, organising equipment, and ensuring all personnel were trained to the highest standards and promoting the Jet2.com Safety First Culture. We have gone from strength to strength and now both passenger and ramp handling in Murcia is carried out by our own team of staff, made up of a mixture of nationalities including Spanish, British, Romanian and Moroccan giving us a distinctly international flavour!
Life here in Murcia is fast moving, diverse, exciting and the whole team prides itself on the highest level of safety, professionalism and customer service: Every team member here is proud to don their Jet2.com shirt.
In my role and those of my team, we are encouraged to use our initiatives, to be proactive and tackle different issues that crop up on a daily basis - and believe me there are many challenges.
I would thoroughly recommend a role within Jet2.com Ground Services, life is never boring and the satisfaction you feel once you see an aircraft take off after all of the efforts of the entire team is certainly second to none. There are not many industries where you get such a buzz on a daily basis, believe me it is addictive!
