I joined Jet2.com from University in September 2004 as an Aircraft Fleet Planner based in the Commercial Department at the former HQ in Bournemouth. Despite joining the Aviation industry as a relative novice, I was able to build and expand my knowledge through supportive development from both my line manager and other key members of the company.
The relocation from Bournemouth to Leeds in August 2006 was a key part of my progression here at Jet2.com as shortly afterwards I was promoted to Fleet Planning Manager. With an ever-expanding fleet of over 30 aircraft this involves a whole variety of tasks. Often juggling the requirements of many departments, my colleagues and I are responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating the Jet2.com fleet, ensuring each aircraft is utilised in the most efficient way. This is also linked to the application and management of Jet2.com's ever-increasing airport slot portfolio - allowing us to operate optimum schedules to some of Europe's most congested airports.
My time here has been excellent. The company acknowledges and rewards hard-working individuals and is always keen to develop people�s skills and attributes to the best of their ability.
